The Biomedical Data Center of the Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation (hereinafter referred to as "the Center") was established in 2024. Harnessing the power of general-purpose, high-performance, and intelligent computing, the Center delivers high-throughput, highly available, and highly reliable computational resources.
It is designed to meet the demands of multiple disciplines for massive data processing and large-scale scientific computation, driving innovative breakthroughs and high-quality development in the biomedical sector.
Center Features

Organization
The Expert Guidance Committee serves as the advisory and decision-making body of the Biomedical Data Center. It provides strategic oversight and governance for the Center’s construction, operations, and maintenance.
The Expert Guidance Committee fosters cooperation and exchange between the Biomedical Data Center and external institutions, integrating expert and technological resources from both domestic and international fields. It facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration, enhances the operational standards, and strengthens the domestic and global influence of the Biomedical Data Center at the Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation.

Introduction to the CLEVER Platform
The CLEVER (Computing Labware for Electron-Microscopy Visualization and Experimental Research) high-performance computing platform at the Biomedical Data Center is now in operation. It is equipped with 416 GPU cards, delivering 1.24 PFLOPS of FP64 and 28.5 PFLOPS of FP32 computational performance. The platform provides 8.5 PB of high-availability parallel storage composed of both SSDs and HDDs. With a high-speed 200 GB/s InfiniBand network, it achieves a combined read/write bandwidth exceeding 120 GB/s. Additionally, a 10 PB tape library is configured for long-term storage needs.

Application Services and Scenarios
The Biomedical Data Center offers a comprehensive suite of software resources spanning a wide range of disciplines, including protein structure prediction, genomic analysis, drug design and discovery, clinical research and epidemiology, computational chemistry, molecular dynamics simulation, fluid dynamics simulation, and single-cell assay analysis. It provides a robust and high-quality computational environment that supports high-performance computing users both within and beyond the institute.
