Welcome to SMART Core Facility
The ABSL-2 facility covers a total area of 250 square meters and is designed to accommodate 744 cages for mice and rats. It includes dedicated areas such as a decontamination room, clean storage, mouse housing rooms, rat housing rooms, quarantine rooms, and waste disposal rooms. The facility is equipped with advanced biosafety cabinets, independent ventilation cages (IVC), and biosafety pulse vacuum sterilizers. It is registered to handle 30 categories of pathogenic microorganisms. The core zones employ physical isolation with negative-pressure ventilation within a sealed structure, suitable for housing infected rodents or conducting experimental research. This design effectively prevents the leakage and environmental contamination caused by pathogens carried by animals, ensuring the safety of personnel involved in animal experiments.
Master graduated from Jiangxi Agricultural University. Mainly responsible for the management of experimental animal barrier environments and ABSL-2 laboratories, including the daily management of experimental animal housing rooms, operation support and biological safety guarantees, as well as the breeding management, inspection, record-keeping and statistics of experimental animals.
