Phenotypic Analysis Platform

　　Animal phenotyping analytical instruments and equipment are primarily housed on the 16th and 17th floors of Block 1A, Shenzhen Medical Academy, Weiguang Life Science Park.

The platform is equipped with 8 large-scale instruments: High resolution functional imaging device for the whole brain of awake animals, A small animals High-frequency Ultrasound/Photoacoustic imaging system, Small-animal Micro-CT, Small Animal In Vivo Imaging Syste, Small-animal energy metabolism monitoring device, Remote sensing device for small-animal physiological signals, Biological X-ray irradiator, and Pulmonary Function Testr.


　　There are also 8 small-scale instruments: In vivo large-scale neural network imaging system, Non-invasive blood pressure detection system for rodent small animals, Non-invasive physiological parameter monitor for small animals, Sleep deprivation system, Medusa small-animal electrophysiology recording system, Skinner operant conditioning chamber, Small-animal inhalation anesthesia system, and Brain stereotaxic injection instrument. Additional behavioral and supporting instruments will be deployed in subsequent phases to meet the demands of animal phenotyping analyses covering animal clinical testing, Imaging, physiology, Pathology, Metabolism, Behavioral studies and other disciplines.

Experienced in establishing animal models for cardiovascular diseases. Responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of laboratory instruments, including small-animal Micro-CT, high-resolution multimodal photoacoustic-ultrasound imaging system for small animals, in vivo imaging system for small animals, small-animal pulmonary function tester, small-animal energy metabolism monitoring system, and biological X-ray irradiator.
